The Evil Cat

Just a few mornings ago, Mummy and I were out for a walk when we encountered The Evil Cat.

We first ran into it when I was just minding my own business near a block of flats. There, The Evil Cat, suddenly appeared from behind a pillar and stared at me. Mummy quickly dragged me away and we continued our walk on the other side of the neighbourhood. Just two or three blocks away, we bumped into The Evil Cat again. This time I returned his rude glare and he immediately arched his back, ready to pounce on me. Mummy promptly pull me away so that I do not get the chance to provoke this nasty feline.

We purposely took a big detour to avoid The Evil Cat and on our way home, The Evil Cat appeared again and it decided to follow us! The faster we walked away, the faster the cat followed us. Just after we crossed a street and Mummy turned back to see where the The Evil Cat was, she was shocked to see the cat crossing the street and approaching us with its menancing glare. Before we know it, the Evil Cat ran over to attack me! I was caught off-guard and was doing my best to get away from its constant, crazy scratching. Mummy shooed and waved and shouted at The Evil Cat, but it refused to go away. Mummy had to literally dragged me and ran away from The Evil Cat. When we reached our block, The Evil Cat was nowhere in sight. Thank dog, I was not hurt. I think my thick coat protected me from the constant scratchings.

Mummy is begining to dislike our neighbourhood. Firstly, the number of stray cats is increasing and it's hard to walk me when I get easily distracted and excited at the sight of a cat. Some of the strays are fierce. They never run away when they see me. Instead they will hunch and puff up to show me they are the boss. Secondly, many people in our neighbourhood like to comment whenever they see me. They will point their fingers at me and tell their kids that I am so big, I will bite them or that I am so scary. These people are so rude! Nowadays, Mummy doesn't bother telling the people that I don't bite. If the comments are too rude, she will just tell me out loud (enough for the people to hear) to ignore these STUPID people. I think she is waiting to fight with somebody one of these days.

Oh poor CHow Chow - I can't believe people make those nasty comments about you when you are so beautiful and adorable! Hah! I should come on a walk with you and then they'll see what BIG really is! Stupid people! Tell your human not to mind them - they're the ones losing out with their ignorance!

I used to have an evil cat living near me too back in Auckland - he was a big black tom and whenever we passed his house, he used to come out and and stalk after me...I was terrified of him! Hsin-Yi thought it was very funny - a big dog like me being scared of a cat - but you know, I have grown up with a cat and so I really respect them! :-)

Hi ChowChow,

it is really evil of the cat to attack you when you did nothing to it.

It's the same for my neighbourhood, because there are always people around feeding on strat cats. But i'm more lucky, because the cats always ran away when they saw me.

I really hope the people do something to your neighbourhood.

And it's really bad of the pple to comment about you on your appearance. Dont they know this quote " never judge a book by its cover"? I doubt so ... But dont wry chowchow, you still have us! (:

Best regards
Vodka

Evil Cat! We hate cats too!!

Mommy was walking ME at the void deck 2-3 weeks ago, 1 cat suddenly appeared out of the pillar, hunched it's back & glared at me! Mommy pulled me back rightaway but the evil one decided to come forward. So Mommy pulled me up by my collar into her arms immediately & before we could walk away, the damn cat ran towards us & attacked! Mommy raised her leg instintly & blocked it, ended up being scratched by the devil. =(

She wanted to take revenge afterwards when i was safe elsewhere but that devil was nowhere in sight!! Hmmph!

We are lucky we've moved out & our new place has very little cats as observed. The old neighbour was *infested* with cats, every evening all the strays gather downstairs & await for their dinner by the feeders! In fact all the cats are terrified of me (because i screams & growls @ them, they usually runs away first when they sees me, before i opens my mouth) except that evil one.

Don't let them get to you and your mommy, Chow Chow. They're probably just envious of your sweet and adorable face. That's one scary looking cat.

We've got a Demon Cat in me granny and grandpa's neighbourhood! He ambushed me from under a car and then ran after us when we took off! Mum says you know when the Demon Cat is near coz you can hear the bell on its collar.
