Dogs' Day Out

In June, there was a doggie event at the West Coast Park and my pawrents brought me there for some fun and sun.

The weather was pretty good, sunny with the occasional breeze. I had a great time sniffing around and checking out all the dogs!

I even tried out the obstacle course!

These two shelties are amazing. They can do the obstacle course really well and they are so obedient!

Wow wow wow...I see some interesting dogs...let me go and say hi!

The husky - Daddy's favourite breed.

The bulldog - Daddy thinks he is uber cute too!

I think this white furry dog is cute too...hey, wait for me!

And before we left the park, we bumped into a huge pack of golden retrievers! They were all so beautiful and friendly. Coincidentally, Mummy's friend (also one of her favourite ex-client) is one of the goldens' owner! Aunt Lynnette recognised me first before she saw Mummy! BOL!

I wish I could stay longer to play with the dogs but the weather started to turn cranky and so we went home to have my weekly bath.

I am so looking forward to another doggy event!

Bark In The Park

This is a late post, but better late than never!

Three weeks ago, my parents brought me to the Bark In the Park event at Fort Canning. We set off bright and early. I love morning outings! It's a great way to start the day!

Me in the Chowmobile.

Hurry, let's get going!

Hmm...are we there yet?

Finally, we've reached Fort Canning Park! It's my first time there and boy was I excited!

Is this a statue of me?

We came across this little fountain on our way and I was kinda scared of the flow of water. Mummy insisted I take a picture here but I really can't stand the noise of the flowing water.

We finally reached the event site! I'm so excited!

So many new dogs to meet! I was pulling Daddy in all directions cos I wanted to say hi to all the doggies. Apparently, I pulled so hard that Daddy got a blister on his toe while being dragged by me! BOL!

Taking a rest and checking out the scene. Mummy spotted my blog friends, Dodo and Momo at the park too and said hi to their parents. Dodo and Momo are even cuter in person! BOL!

The organiser of the event even send some volunteers to go around to ask for donations to help homeless doggies. We can donate any sum we want and in return these guys will serenade us with a song or two. I can't remember which song they sang to me but it's certainly wasn't How Much Is That Doggie In The Window. I was a little scared of the strumming guitar at first but I relaxed a bit after they finished singing the song.

We would have stayed longer to see more competitions, shows and demonstrations if the weather wasn't so erractic. It was drizzling and then scorching sun within minutes. I had fun though and many people came by to pet me. I hope there would be more of such events and maybe my parents can unleash me so that I can truly enjoy myself.

Happy Moo Year!

Have a pawesome Moo year everyone! May the year of the Ox-picious Ox brings you plenty of wealth and health, joy, love, peace and treats!

The days leading to Chinese New Year were the best! Daddy took leave and brought me to the beach! Then my parents gave me the enviable job of supervising them while they clean the house. I didn't want to be too strict a supervisor, so I just let them do what they do while I drift off to dreamland....hehehehhe....

I also got to go to Granddad's place every often, I even went there twice in a day. It was really happening in the house cos everyone was busy cooking and taking out food and eating! I didn't get any of the human food, but at least Uncle Phil took pity on me and gave me a small piece of BBQ pork!

After the human's reunion din din, Mummy and Daddy brought me, together with Aunt TR and Aunt Coco to the dog park! To clarify, Aunt TR is Daddy's elder human sissy who flies back from Hong Kong for the Chinese New Year; whilst Aunt Coco is my Daddy's furry sissy who barks at me when I get too close to her. Now, back to the dog park. As expected, there weren't any doggies at the park cos it was New Year's eve and everyone is busy having their face stuffed at home. BUT we saw a cream Chow Chow when we approached the dog park! What are the chances?! I think the cream Chow Chow is called Chow Chow too! BOL! We chased and run and played bitey face - Chow version! Too bad, Mummy didn't have the camera with her, or else I could have shown you how much fun we had!

We had a stroll in the park after the dog run and Aunt Coco was so out-of-breath trying to catch up with us. She really needs to exercise more!

On the first day of Chinese New Year, my parents left me in Granddad's garden while they went off for lunch to celebrate Granddad's birthday. I was just minding my own business in the garden when some humans stopped to stare at me when they passed by the front gate of the house. Some of them even took out their cameras and took pictures of me. My humans were back very soon and they were quite worried what could have happened to me when they saw several people standing in their front gate looking in. They were relieved to see me, looking like my usual handsome self in the car porch, posing for pictures. BOL!

The second day of the new year was the best! Mummy invited her relatives to our house since they have not been to our house ever since my parents moved in more than a year ago. I love having guests in the house! I was so busy walking up and down and making sure everyone is comfortable and had their share of petting my magnificent mane and fussing over me. Everyone thinks I'm really adorable and fine-looking! Grandma was really nice as she fed me some raw fish and meat while she sliced the food for the steamboat dinner. Again, Mummy forgot (or was it too lazy) to take pictures of my adoring guests!

Anyway, enough of the long post! Here are some pictures to share. I'm glad mummy didn't forgot the use of her camera totally!

My first Christmas Pawty

Last weekend, I was invited to a Christmas dinner pawty at Uncle Kong's house. Mummy and Uncle Kong and the rest of the guests used to work together in an advertising agency many years ago and even after they have all left the company, they still keep the tradition of meeting up for a Christmas dinner every year.

Everyone were very excited to see me!

Uncle Kong's Mummy, Grandma Kong, loves me so much she couldn't stop petting and hugging me! She said she loves Chow Chows, especially after she watched on TV the lovely Chow Chows owned by Martha Stewart!

They let me explore the house and even the rooms!

And so the inspection begins...

Nice place, Uncle Kong! Your house is spick and span!

The house is roomy and cozy with a very nice country look. There are also many plants in the house so it makes me feel like I am visiting a lovely park!

Not everyone is happy to see me though. Aunt K is scared of dogs and when she saw me, she was terrified! I had to be leashed in a corner while the human enjoy their dinner! Bummer!

Luckily I was released after their dinner. They all felt bad for neglecting me.

I was at my best behaviour that night. Everyone were impressed! Even Aunt K!

The Star of the Pawty

Check out those plants!

Everyone call me a vegetarian dog! Truth is, I was just picking out the best leaves for the host.

I was smart enough to know this is a Christmas tree. I didn't pee on it or bite the leaves.

Uncle K gave me some apples...

I love these apples, they were bought by Uncle Kong's wife in Japan! She bought lots of good stuff from Japan cos she goes there all the time for work.

Thanks guys! But why is everyone looking at me while I eat? I can't possibly spill the apples can I?

This is a great pawty! The entire night's conversation was on pets and me! For once, they didn't complain about work! Uncle Kong loves me so much, he asked my parents to let me board at his house if they have to go for holidays!

Are you calling me? I kept hearing my name!

I met a little Bichon doggy who lives next door.

I don't have a picture of the Bichon to show you but I can tell you she is cute! She has some skin problems though and all the hair on her face are gone, so she looked a little strange. But she is one smart dog! She could paw the air like she is waving when the humans say "byebye"!

This is the perfect Christmas pawty for me!

Cha Cha the other Chow Chow

We went to the AVA Pet Ownership Roadshow at the Expo on Sunday afternoon without Chow Chow. I wanted to bring Chow Chow there initially but hubby didn't want to cos Chow Chow is quite a handful when he is outside and we don't want him to get too worked up at the sight of the other doggies.

At the Roadshow, we saw this super cute cream Chow Chow. She was there as part of the Awesome Pawsome Dog Training demonstration. Her owner was very nice and allow everyone to take picture with her girl.

Cha Cha is 11-month-old and was found by her current owner on the street. She has grown to her full size now, which in my opinion is rather small by Chow Chow's standard, but the perfect size nevertheless. I hope my Chow Chow doesn't grow too big. His body length is already longer than Cha Cha. Cha Cha is a vegetarian, perhaps that is why she is smaller in size?

There are many other dogs which are just so adorable. We spotted this great dane which is so tame and well-behaved. He was the key animal in the training demonstration.

Please sign my guestbook!
